The Wild Kratts merchandise ecosystem occupies a distinct niche in educational action toys by translating biological animal characteristics into interactive role-play accessories, collectible discs, and plush figures. Derived from the long-running animated television series featuring zoologist brothers Chris and Martin Kratt, these toys encourage young builders and adventurers to emulate creature powers through tactile engagement. Rather than functioning solely as static display items, the product line focuses on experiential play that combines animal science with character-driven dress-up gear.
When conducting a wild kratts toys comparison to determine which wild kratts toys to buy, parents and collectors will find that the catalog separates into wearable power gear, modular creature power disc holder set expansions, and dual-pack plush dolls that serve distinctly different developmental stages.

Wild Kratts Creature Power Suit Martin for Active Role Play

Best for: Kids wanting active character dress-up adventures
Pros
- Adjustable velcro sizing
- Includes vest gloves and discs
- Interactive chest activation slot
Cons
- Only two discs included
- Costume sized specifically 6-8X
The Wild Kratts Creature Power Suit Martin delivers an authentic costume experience tailored for children who want to reenact the signature creature activations from the animated series. This officially licensed set includes the blue creature power vest, matching wrist gloves, and two creature power discs. The core play feature centers on physical activation: kids insert a disc directly into the specialized chest receptacle on the front of the vest to initiate imaginary zoological abilities, closely replicating the television action sequence.
In terms of dimensions and fit, this specific release is tagged as Large 6-8X. Evaluating creature power suit sizing reveals that the manufacturer integrated adjustable velcro closures along the structure to accommodate various body types and seasonal layering. This adjustability makes the garment functional as everyday dress-up gear or as an over-the-jacket Halloween outfit, standing apart from single-piece costumes often evaluated in lists like bluey toys for kids ages 3-5 where fixed sizing limits longevity. The included gloves complete the signature look of Martin Kratt while maintaining finger mobility for manipulating toy discs.
The primary consideration for this wearable suit is its initial accessory count. While the suit includes two creature power discs, specific creature species may vary per package from the promotional images. For children seeking a massive library of animal abilities, this base vest is designed to function as an entry point that connects mechanically with the broader disc accessory lines produced for the brand.
Wild Kratts Chris Creature Power Disc for Animal Ability Collectors

Best for: Collectors seeking Chris Kratt animal powers
Pros
- Includes 20 collectible discs
- Securing 9-disc storage holder
- 15 exclusive creature species
Cons
- Creature power vest sold separately
- Storage clip holds nine discs
The Wild Kratts Chris Creature Power Disc set, cataloged under manufacturer model wild kratts 12262 and produced by Wicked Cool Toys, expands the tactile reach of creature power play. Built as an accessory pack, this set features a specialized 9-disc storage holder alongside 20 collectible green activation discs. The storage clip secures to belts or clothing edges, allowing children to carry their library of creature capabilities during mobile pretend play.
Engineered for ages 36 months through 10 years, the included discs represent a comprehensive cross-section of animal behaviors. The roster of 20 Chris Kratt brother discs includes creatures engineered to run, jump, crawl, fly, climb, or defend: hamster, blowfish, pony, turkey, wolf, hippo, grasshopper, lobster, otter, moose, narwhal, tarsier, koala, walrus, skunk, basilisk lizard, spectacled cobra, golden snub-nosed monkey, falcon, and bullfrog. Fifteen of these discs are designated as exclusive releases, providing significant variety for kids cataloging distinct wildlife traits.
This standalone accessory pack is fundamentally a multi-disc expansion rather than an all-in-one costume. While the storage clip organizes nine discs at a time, the discs themselves are fully cross-compatible with official Wild Kratts Creature Power Suits, which must be purchased separately. It serves the dedicated enthusiast who already owns a suit or prioritizes organizational sorting over fabric costume elements.

Best for: Toddlers wanting screen-free soft companion play
Pros
- Includes both Kratt brothers
- 14-inch embroidered plush construction
- Suitable for ages two and up
Cons
- Surface spot clean only
- No interactive disc activation
Departing from mechanical clips and wearable plastic centerpieces, the Mighty Mojo Wild Kratts Plush Toy adventure set introduces soft-sculpture representations of both Kratt brothers. Manufactured by Mighty Mojo under part number WLD_KRTS_2PCK, this two-pack includes both Chris and Martin Kratt standing approximately 14 inches high. Each figure is rendered in their signature Creature Power suits, using distinct green and blue fabric accents to replicate their animated appearance.
The construction specifications emphasize safety and durability for younger fans of wild kratts toys for kids. Built entirely from soft polyester fabrics, the plush dolls utilize fully embroidered face and emblem detailing rather than glued or snap-on plastic components. This construction method reduces choking hazards, allowing the manufacturer to recommend the set for children ages 2 and up, though technical listings also cite an age range of 3 years and above. Maintenance is simple, requiring only surface spot-cleaning to keep the polyester exterior pristine.
This dual-pack provides immediate comfort and storytelling value without requiring rule sets or mechanical fitting. While it lacks interactive disc-loading features or scientific role-play gear found in science-themed sets like national geographic toys, it solves the sibling-sharing problem out of the box by packaging both character brothers together for cooperative quiet play.
Wild Kratts Martin Creature Power Disc for Aquatic and Specialty Abilities
Wild Kratts Martin Creature Power Disc 4 photos from the Amazon listing
Best for: Fans expanding Martin Kratt ability rosters
Pros
- 20 unique animal power discs
- Functional 9-disc belt clip
- Cross-compatible with power suits
Cons
- Wearable vest sold separately
- Disc storage requires rotation
The Wild Kratts Martin Creature Power Disc pack, designated as model wild kratts 12261 from Wicked Cool Toys, provides the counterpart blue expansion for fans of Martin Kratt. Much like its companion green set, this creature power disc holder set consists of a molded plastic 9-disc storage bracket paired with 20 collectible power discs. The holder features a vibrant blue theme aligned with Martin’s on-screen gear aesthetic.
The disc assortment within model 12261 highlights unique terrestrial, avian, and aquatic creatures, reflecting Martin’s penchant for diverse ecological niches. Animal powers itemized in this configuration include jellyfish, opossum, beaver, pelican, red panda, orca, warthog, bee, woodpecker, bengal tiger, gecko, chameleon, sloth, aye-aye, bison, seahorse, platypus, hummingbird, rattlesnake, and pronghorned elk. This broad cross-section lets kids switch from venomous defense to swift swimming mechanics during imaginary fieldwork.
Because the physical circumference and thickness of these discs share universal dimensions with all official Wicked Cool Toys releases, they integrate seamlessly into the chest plate of the Wild Kratts Creature Power Suit Martin or any compatible suit vest. For families already stocking superhero action kits such as black panther toys for boys 4-6, adding these disc modules provides an educational, animal-centric parallel to fictional comic gear without introducing electronic battery requirements.
How to Choose the Right Wild Kratts Toys
Selecting the ideal item from the Wild Kratts lineup begins with identifying whether the child prefers kinetic full-body dress-up, component collection and organization, or low-stress comforting play. The wearable Wild Kratts Creature Power Suit Martin directly addresses the desire for immersive pretend play, transforming the child into the character with wearable gloves and a functional chest plate. However, suits require careful consideration of sizing and do not offer the extensive animal catalog that dedicated disc collectors seek.
If physical collection and species exploration are the primary objectives, evaluating the two disc sets is the logical next step. Both the Chris Kratt set (model 12262) and the Martin Kratt set (model 12261) deliver 20 discs and a 9-slot storage clip. Choosing between them comes down to which animal powers the child admires most. The Chris set emphasizes species like the peregrine falcon, wolf, and bullfrog, while the Martin set leans into creatures like the orca, platypus, and chameleon. Because both sets share identical physical disc specifications, they are equally compatible with any official Creature Power vest.
For toddlers under age three or children who prefer sensory comfort over plastic role-play props, the Mighty Mojo Wild Kratts Plush Toy twin pack stands as the safest choice. Unlike the plastic holders and suits that feature small parts or rigid velcro tabs, the 14-inch polyester plush dolls have no sharp edges or loose discs. They also provide both brothers in a single purchase, making them ideal for shared play without requiring supplementary hardware.
Finally, consider the modular synergy of the product line. Parents purchasing the creature power vest should anticipate that the two included discs may leave active children wanting broader creature choices. Pairing the vest with either model 12261 or 12262 creates a comprehensive play system, whereas the plush figures operate independently as standalone soft companions.
